Lurie Children’s Celebrates RE/MAX Month of Miracles
Since 1992, RE/MAX has worked to change kids’ health through their agents’ generous donations, creative fundraising events, volunteer programs at hospitals, and their unique Honor Card program. In 2021, more than 19,000 agents in the U.S. and Canada participated in the RE/MAX Miracle Home & Miracle Property Program. By designating their listing as a Miracle Home or Property, agents will make a donation on behalf of their clients after each closed transaction.
Participating agents and offices can differentiate themselves in the marketplace, creating a positive image to current and prospective clients, all while giving back to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. In their 30 years of partnership, RE/MAX agents and offices in the US and Canada have raised more than $185 million for CMN Hospitals.
During the month of August, CMN Hospitals’ is celebrating RE/MAX Month of Miracles to recognize the impact the partnership has on local patients and families. In the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area, RE/MAX agents support their local CMN Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Over the years, agents have helped raise over $3.3 million to ensure that Lurie Children’s can provide the best care possible to the over 220,00 patients served each year.
Funds are raised through individual agent giving, but also through events like RE/MAX Suburban’s Golf Outing, held earlier this summer. RE/MAX Suburban owners Sarah and Chad Gilbert are longtime, dedicated supporters of the mission of Lurie Children’s, leading their offices and agent teams to give over $50,000 annually.
The 5th annual RE/MAX Suburban Golf Outing was held on July 11 and raised over $30,000 for Lurie Children’s. Patient champion Aggie, pictured below, was the honored miracle child at this year’s golf outing and reception.
Lurie Children’s thanks the many Miracle Agents who make a difference through their giving each year. Because of partners like RE/MAX, Lurie Children’s can continue to recruit expert leaders to pursue clinical excellence, accelerate research to push the boundaries of pediatric medicine and enhance and expand our facilities to meet the needs of our growing patient population. Donations from RE/MAX also make Lurie Children’s Family Services programs possible. These family-centered services help safeguard the well-being of patient families during illness by providing music and art therapy, school services and social workers’ support.
Congrats, RE/MAX, on 30 years of changing kids’ health to change the future!
