Flip it Forward For the Kids on IHOP National Pancake Day!

Mark your calendars- Tuesday, February 25 is IHOP National Pancake Day! Visit participating IHOP locations in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas to enjoy a FREE short stack of pancakes and in return, make a donation to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

Since 2006, IHOP has raised more than $22 million for CMN Hospitals. Each year, local IHOP restaurants support the areas of greatest need at Lurie Children’s. In 2019 alone, 42 IHOP locations raised $35,351.

Funds from IHOP help Lurie Children’s provide programs and services to support patients and families, including social workers, art therapists, therapy animals and school teachers. Funds also ensure that the 220,000 patients treated at Lurie Children’s each year have access to quality healthcare regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.

In addition to a free short stack of pancakes, guests who visit on February 25, 2020 will have the chance to win free pancakes for life and other fabulous prizes. Guests can further support their local children’s hospital during the campaign by purchasing a $5 wall tag icon at any IHOP restaurant on or before February 25, 2020, which includes a $5 coupon good for a future visit at IHOP or making an on-check donation between Jan. 2 – Feb. 25.

How to celebrate National Pancake Day:

  1. Invite your friends and family to visit a participating IHOP location to get your FREE short stack of pancakes!
  2. Show your support for Lurie Children’s by signing up to volunteer with friends or family on National Pancake Day at a location near you. Registration for 2020 Volunteers is now live on IHOP’s official volunteer website.
  3. Share your visit on social media using #NATLPancakeDay.
  4. Donate at IHOP to help kids like Abby, who began treatment for leukemia at Lurie Children’s when she was only seven months old, later receiving a life-saving stem cell transplant. Last year, Abby celebrated being three years cancer free and is an energy-filled toddler who loves Minnie Mouse, and of course, IHOP, as shown in the photo below:
