Change Kids’ Health at Speedway® on Giving Tuesday- November 29

To celebrate Giving Tuesday (November 29), Speedway®, a part of the 7-Eleven family of brands, is inviting customers to donate to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. You can stop in your local Speedway store to fuel up and fuel miracles for local kids.

Thanks to generosity of Speedway’s customers, vendor partners, and associates, Lurie Children’s, is advancing pediatric healthcare, improving individual patients’ health, protecting our children’s futures and enhancing local communities. Speedway has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1984 and has raised more than $9.3 million locally for Lurie Children’s to support patients like Abby, pictured below visiting her local Speedway in Cicero, Illinois.

At just over two months old, Abby’s parents were told she had a type of blood cancer called leukemia. She started chemotherapy treatment immediately and eventually required a stem cell transplant at Lurie Children’s in order to survive.

“We credit Lurie Children’s with saving her life,” Abby’s mom said. “We are very grateful for the entire staff at Lurie Children’s—nurses, doctors, child life specialists, the people who served us coffee and helped us reboot every day.”

Today, Abigail is thriving 6-year-old that her parents describe as the “ultimate daddy’s girl.” She loves playing with other kids, cooking in her play kitchen, running outdoors and watching Toy Story and Mickey Mouse cartoons.

In this season of gratitude and on Giving Tuesday, Lurie Children’s celebrates Speedway’s commitment to giving. Thank you for your support to help kids like Abby get the care they need!
