Speedway Celebrates 30 Years of Fueling Miracles for Kids at Lurie Children’s

For 30 years, Speedway has made giving easy, providing the critical funds needed to advance pediatric healthcare, improving individual patients’ health, protecting our children’s futures and enhancing our local communities.

By rallying vendors, employees, and store locations together, Speedway joins forces with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals on a mission to help kids grow up healthier, stronger, and more ready for tomorrow. Through in-store push campaigns, promotions, and the annual Speedway Miracle Tournament, they’ve raised $133 million since 1991. Funds raised in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana stay local to support patients and families at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Donations ensure that Lurie Children’s can continue providing uncompensated care, investing in research, and offering patient services that comfort families and provide peace of mind during the most trying moments of their lives.

This year alone, Speedway locations in the local area have already raised over $300,00, sometimes a dollar at a time. Through these donations, Lurie Children’s is able to provide treatments and healing that our patients desperately need today so that they can fulfill their potential for tomorrow.
