KIDS CAN’T WAIT: OUR IMPACT ON CHILD HEALTH DAY

COVID-19 has placed unprecedented stress on the United States’ health system. On Monday, October 5th,  our Dance Marathon students joined the entire Miracle Network Dance Marathon community in celebrating Child Health Day and coming together to Join the movement, Raise funds for children’s hospitals, and Share the message that Kids Can’t Wait.

After a long summer full of planning and pivoting with the new climate, our students were ready to activate their programs on October 5th. Dance Marathon programs and participants flooded social media and hosted awareness events on campus to raise awareness about their efforts for Lurie Children’s.

Collectively, Team Chicago registered 213 participants and raised over $10,000 in one day! This will lay the ground work for an incredible year full of virtual events and engagement opportunities.

Miracle Network Dance Marathon is a movement of students at 300 colleges and universities throughout North America that raise funds and awareness throughout the year with their efforts culminating in an 8-40 hour Dance Marathon event.
