We are just 45 days away from our 11th annual Chicago Dance Marathon event, presented by Kin + Carta!
Over the past 10 years, Chicago Dance Marathon has provided funds and awareness for Lurie Children’s to ensure that no family suffers through pediatric illness and injury alone. Throughout this time, Chicago Dance Marathon has made a difference in the lives of patients and families and has raised nearly $3.5 million dollars for the kids!
What is Chicago Dance Marathon? Chicago Dance Marathon is an entertainment packed fundraiser benefiting the patients and families of Lurie Children’s. If you participated in Miracle Network Dance Marathon in college, it’s much like the program that you attended at your college or university. The day is packed with families sharing their experiences with Lurie Children’s, entertainment, a Video Game Room and SO much more!
When Gia was born at 32 weeks, her parents Mike and Jill had no way of knowing how many challenges their newborn daughter would face. Gia spent her first six months of life in the neonatal intensive care unit at Lurie Children’s and has greatly improved from the care she received at the hospital. Now seven years old, Gia’s parents describe her as imaginative, thoughtful and sassy girl who loves being a big sister to her younger brother Graham. As Gia grows each year, CDM is a reminder to her and her family that they are not alone in their fight.
Now, as we prepare for our 11th annual Chicago Dance Marathon, we want to dream big. We have set a goal to raise $500,000 for Lurie Children’s on behalf of our patients and families. But we can’t hit that goal without the help of the Chicagoland community coming together FOR THE KIDS.
